Jade_Jockey’s Gaming Story: How a Childhood Passion Became a Streaming Dream

INTRODUCTION

Hey everyone, I’m Jade_Jockey, and gaming has been a massive part of my life for as long as I can remember. To me, gaming is something everyone should be able to enjoy in their own way, with their own unique styles. It’s more than just entertainment—it’s about forming friendships and connecting with people with the same interests.

How It All Started

My love for gaming started with my family. I grew up playing the gane sightscreen with my brother, two cousins, and an old Xbox 360 game called Dungeon Defenders. We each had our own styles, but we always worked together, which made every gaming session special. My uncle also played GTA 5 with me when I was just five years old, and I memorized every cheat code by heart.

The first game I ever played was on the Nintendo Wii—bowling at family parties. It wasn’t about winning; it was about the laughs, the competition, and the memories we made.

My Favorite Games

I’ve played over 400 games across multiple consoles, from the original Xbox to the Xbox Series X, and from PlayStation 4 to PC. But if I had to pick my top three, they’d be:

  1. Remnant: From the Ashes – A perfect mix of difficulty and fun. I’ve been playing it for three years and still haven’t finished it!
  2. Call of Duty (Black Ops 2) – This one will always have a special place in my heart. My brother, cousins, and I spent countless hours in Transit mode, even though I still hate those fog monkeys.
  3. Grounded – Shrinking down, fighting bugs, upgrading weapons, and battling bosses while being smaller than an ant? Playing this with my brother has been one of the best gaming experiences ever.

When it comes to genres, I switch things up based on my mood. If I’m feeling good, I’ll jump into FPS games. If I just want to chill, you’ll find me playing Minecraft or Grounded.

How I Became "Jade_Jockey"

My gamertag has changed a lot over the years. It started as LittleJockey08 because I was a short kid before my growth spurt, and my grandpa always said I could be a jockey. Later, I went by Psycho Jockey (inspired by an ex), but eventually, I settled on JadeJockey—combining my favorite color, Jade, with my grandpa’s nickname for me. I would’ve just gone with "Jockey," but somehow, that’s taken on every platform!

Why I Stream

I started streaming in 2020 during the pandemic as a way to connect with people when the world felt so isolated. What I love most about streaming is that it’s not just about playing games—it’s about the people who come to hang out, chat, and share their experiences.

For me, the fun in streaming comes from meeting new people and discovering new games through my community. Even though I’m not super famous, I appreciate every single person who stops by my stream and types in chat.

My Goals for the Future

In five years, I want to grow my stream into something meaningful—not just for myself, but for my community. I want to give back to the people who support me and create a space where everyone feels welcome. I know what it’s like to feel alone, and I want my channel to be a place where no one ever has to feel that way.

The most valuable part of streaming for me is the connection with my viewers. I make it a priority to read and respond to every chat message because sometimes, just being acknowledged can make a big difference in someone’s day.

Join Me on This Journey

I may not be the biggest streamer out there, but I truly love what I do. No matter how far I go, I’ll always appreciate those who support me.

If you’re looking for a chill, welcoming space to hang out, chat, and play games, join me on Twitch!

💙 Much love to you all.
